Under the concerted effort of Intelligent Connection Department, Marketing Operation Department, CMI and China Mobile Beijing Company, China Mobile DCP platform had opened the IoT SIM card for the first time on March 12th. It was successfully verified that the three core functions of DCP core network, BSS and connection management had the management ability of DCP IoT SIM card.

The China Mobile DCP platform is built by China Mobile and Ericsson to provide the full life cycle connection management and platform operation services of IoT card for domestic and international enterprises. Under the background of globalization of trade, the business scale of IoT is growing rapidly. DCP platform could help China Mobile establish quick business cooperation with international operators which has significant impact for China Mobile to expand international business. With the worldwide unified management of equipment and unified service of high bandwidth and high SLA, DCP platform could provide “One Point Access, Connect the World” IoT card operation service to users.

During two years of platform establishment, the international business center of Intelligent Connection Department led business negotiation and project coordinator. The network business security center was responsible for DCP and DCS function establishment, while IT center was responsible for construction and maintenance of machine room. 5G Platform R&D center was responsible for the construction of DCP and BSS function, including DCP business training for China Mobile Beijing, Chongqing and Guangdong companies. After communicating with Marketing Department, Network Department and Information Technology Center, Intelligent Connection Department has made a Specification of DCP Local IoT Card Import Business for business guidance. The DCP platform was officially launched after 187 BSS and 40 DCS functional tests.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, the DCP platform was facing a new challenge to carry out business activities. The Intelligent Connection Department conducted operation training and business Q&A with CMI, China Mobile Beijing Company and Ericsson through teleconference. All members have kept working to complete the mission of opening the first IoT card on DCP platform. We believe that the DCP platform would play an important role in promoting the cooperation of domestic and international companies.
